Days spent in idle moments
Hours passed between my lips
Minutes trickled down my cheek
Seconds between seconds between seconds…

I find myself longing
My sweetest kiss, my last embrace
A dreamless slumber, for me not to wake
Seconds between seconds between seconds…

I stare back at myself staring
Being poor, being rich
Sadly content, waiting to break
Seconds between seconds between seconds…
